Breakthrough House is dedicated to helping residents who have been diagnosed with a mental illness lead fulfilling and enriching lives through a variety of services. By focusing on our members unique skills and cultivating a community of support, we are able to help our members grow to become independent. We are able to help our members gain their independence by offering safe and affordable housing.

Breakthrough House offers residential services to men and women diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. With housing options from Breakthrough House, you get the experience of independent living with the support from our compassionate team. This includes assistance with cooking, meal planning, laundry, monitoring to ensure medication is taken correctly and more.

We have 17 apartments in addition to group homes that house up to 9 people. In fulfilling our promise to help those with mental illness maintain financial independence, all gas, water, and electric bills will be paid for by Breakthrough House. Appliances included: washer/dryer, fridge, and stove.

Do I Qualify?

  • Have been diagnosed with a confirmed persistent mental illness and be working with a mental health provider.
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Live in Shawnee County
